Self-drive visit to Old Rectory, Quenington

On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 14th we are planning a self-drive visit for Garden Society members to the Old Rectory, Quenington near Fairford, Gloucestershire.

14th July 2021 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The garden is at the bottom of the village opposite St Swithin’s church which will be open as part of the visit. The house and garden are “on the banks of the mill race and the river Coln. This is an organic garden of great variety with mature trees, a large vegetable garden, herbaceous borders, shade garden, pool and bog gardens.” (see https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/2262).

There will be a charge of £10 per person, proceeds to St Swithin’s church.

Most of the garden is wheelchair accessible.

Tea/Coffee with a donation for the church will be available, or you are welcome to bring your own refreshments/picnic as there will be plenty of cover.

To make parking easier, car sharing will be advisable if at all possible.

Directions: The Old Rectory is 8 miles NE of Cirencester, opposite Swithin's Church at the bottom of the village.

Car sharing is advisable if at all possible. If you are willing to offer a lift to others, please indicate how many spare seats you might have. Conversely, if you would like to come but would need a lift, please let us know in case we can arrange it.
